Okanagan Athletics Bantam AAA - Fall Ball

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a Bantam AAA fall ball program this year. All Bantam aged players for the 2011 season from Rutland, Kelowna, West Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, Salmon Arm and Summerland Minor Baseball Associations may participate.

The fall ball program is intended for players who are serious about trying out for the Okanagan Athletics Bantam AAA team for the 2011 season. If you are not interested in trying out for the AAA team and still want to play fall ball, please contact your local Association to find out what programs will be offered.

1 – The cost of the program is $100

2 – The majority of practices and games will be played at Lombardy fields in Kelowna

3 – The number of teams will depend on the level of interest

4 – There may be some travel required

5 – This is NOT a try out for the 2011 team. The team will be chosen early in the new year

6 – Playing fall ball is NOT a prerequisite for making the team in 2011

7 - If you have any questions, please e-mail Dennis Tubbs or call him at 250 864-4744

Congratulations to the PeeWee AA Team aka Team BC

After winning the Provincials Championship in Kelowna, the PeeWee AA D-Backs became Team BC and played in Newton against the host and the three other Western provinces. Wins against Alberta, Manitoba, and Newton brought them to the final on Aug. 15, where they were not able to stop Saskatchewan's winning streak. As shown here, they won Silver Medals, and had a great experience.

From left to right, the team consisted of coach Todd Loepkky, Daniel Wain, Markus Glowacki, Treyton Waardenburg, Easton Forrest, Chaz Reddekopp, Jeff Tubbs, coach Brian Wyatt, Trevor Lofstrom, head coach Dennis Tubbs; Jeff Schlenker, Andrew Wain, David Tongue, Braden Koop, Ty Loeppky, Brett Wyatt; Nick Gnazdowsky, and Matty Brodt
